Classic Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Ingredients:

- ½ pound (250 grams) of shrimp, peeled and deveined

- ¼ cup (60 ml) of extra-virgin olive oil

- ½ cup (120 ml) of your favorite white wine

- ¼ teaspoon of red pepper flakes

- sea salt

- freshly ground black pepper

- ½ pound (250 grams) of spaghetti or linguine

- ¼ cup (60 grams) of butter

- minced garlic cloves

- parsley leaves, for garnish

- lemon slices, for garnish

 

Instructions:

1. To start, bring a large pot of water to a boil and season it with salt. Add the pasta to a large saucepan, bring it to a boil over high heat, and then simmer for about 10 minutes. Drain the excess water from the pasta and set the pasta aside.

2. In the meantime, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp, white wine, red pepper flakes, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Cook the shrimp until they are opaque and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes.

3. Once the shrimp are cooked, remove them from the pan with a slotted spoon and set them aside. Take the same pan and start melting the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook it until it is fragrant, stirring occasionally.
