Founded in 1879, Torrons i Mel Alemany is an award-winning honey and turrón producer based in Os de Balaguer, Catalonia. The company sources honey from top beekeepers across the peninsula and produces delicious turrón and Mediterranean nuts using locally sourced ingredients and traditional recipes passed down through five generations. 

This homogenized and filtered honey blend by Alemany is meticulously crafted using Spanish honey harvested from beehives in the lush landscapes of Catalonia, Aragon, and Valencia; Spanish honeybee pollen, also known as bee bread or ambrosia; propolis from regions outside the EU; and royal jelly. The result is a delightful, light amber-colored blend, offering a balsamic, slightly spicy aroma with resinous notes and a rich, creamy sweetness balanced by earthy, mildly tangy, and herbaceous flavors.

Honey may crystallize over time. To return it to a liquid state, gently warm it in a bain-marie. For the best experience with this blended honey, use it while it's liquid and try the following:

  • As a dessert spread and dip: spread it on warm, toasted bread, or crackers, or use it as a sweet, flavorful dip for cheeses, fruits, or nuts.
  • Salad dressings: drizzle it over leafy greens or fruit salads for a sweet touch that balances savory ingredients.
