Frantoio Monocultivar Biologico is produced in Chianti, Italy. The Frantoio olives are handpicked at the onset of ripening on average altitude of 330 - 380 mt above sea level. After harvesting the olives go to cold extraction manufacturing.
Frantoio Oil has strong intensive flavor most of all in perception of bitter sensations, with strong notes of artichoke and rocket. Lighter spicy sensation is characterized by green pepper. The bouquet has aggressive notes with unmistakable aroma of artichoke, rocket and tomato leaves. Also there is a soft but long-lasting note of cucumber which ends with sensations of mint, sage and rosemary.
The best way of using is for oil-dip, ribollita and vegetable soups, boiled and grilled vegetables, buffalo mazzarella and grilled red meat. Also useful for dishes that require a strong-intensity oil.
