Achatina fulica or the African land snail is one of the largest species of snails in the world and can grow up to the size of a man’s palm. Escargots à la Bourguignonne, or Snails in Garlic–Herb Butter, come oven ready in an aluminum plate. These large shelled snails are low-fat, protein-rich and a good source of a variety of essential vitamins and minerals, including magnesium, selenium, vitamin E and phosphorus. These escargots can be prepared with very little prep. In under 15 minutes, this French fine food delicacy can make it to your dinner table.

To prepare: Preheat oven to 150°C or 302°F for approximately 12 minutes, remove as soon as the butter boils and serve while hot.
